Wines of Chile – Press Tasting

While not all readers of robertfranciswine.ie are press tasters, I have included the post as there are some very interesting facts on the wines of chile. Chilean wines are hugely popular here in Ireland and for the past few years it has been popular to bag them. They deliver really solid, serviceable and something fantastic wines but like many things they become a victim of their own success. So check all prejudices at the door and enjoy the wines for what they are – especially look to the more aromatic whites and chunky, brooding syrahs which are following chilean pinots and sauvignons as the next big thing.
